Dr. Larabee founded Sapphire Pediatrics in 2005. She is board certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her MD degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed her pediatric residency and Chief Residency at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, all in Milwaukee. Her professional passions are healthy parenting in early childhood and medical education for
students of Pediatrics.
Dr. Humphreys joined Sapphire Pediatrics in 2012, and is a co-owner. She is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her MD degree at the University of Oklahoma and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland. She has practiced pediatrics in Denver since 2004, and she particularly enjoys caring for adolescents.
Dr. Lacey (Pilarowski) joined Sapphire Pediatrics in 2017 and is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her MD at Northwestern University and completed residency at the Children's Hospital in Denver after an intern year at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. She has been practicing pediatrics in Denver since 2002. Dr. Lacey enjoys all aspects of pediatrics but especially newborns and supporting breastfeeding mothers.
Dr. Dahab is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is also board certified in Sports Medicine. She earned her MD degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has been practicing pediatrics in Denver since 2011. Dr. Dahab loves spending time with her husband and two young children, enjoying the great outdoors in Colorado.
Dr. Swant is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her MD degree at the University California Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency and Chief Residency at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She has been practicing pediatrics since 2013 and joined Sapphire Pediatrics in 2022. She truly enjoys seeing patients of all ages from newborn to teens. Dr. Swant loves traveling, exploring Denver and spending time with her husband and her children.
Dr. Hemphill joined Sapphire Pediatrics in May 2022. She is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her M.D. degree at the University of New Mexico and completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She is a Colorado native, despite moving around for her education. She returned to Denver in 2013 to practice pediatrics. She enjoys many things about pediatrics, especially helping families cultivate healthy lifestyle habits.
Courtney is a licensed professional counselor specializing in
children, adolescents and teens.
She has experience dealing with many childhood and adolescent issues such as anger, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and social pressures. She also specializes in helping families who are presently dealing with or have recently gone through divorce.
Courtney may interact with patients and parents briefly during a medical visit. If the need arises, she can provide individual and family therapy right
at Sapphire Pediatrics.
Ashley starting working with Sapphire Pediatrics as the Practice Manager in August 2019. She has been in the medical field for over 10 years and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.
She enjoys hiking, skiing and enjoying the beautiful CO outdoors with her husband, their son and husky.
Ashley’s previous work experience includes Practice Management for Primary Care and Urgent Care Clinics, Operations Management for 9 Nephrology clinics and other various specialty clinics.
Well child care is our signature service. We take extra care to ensure your child is growing and developing as expected. We assess need for vaccinations, review routine screening tests, and perform a head-to-toe physical examination. This is a 30 minute appointment with lots of
education for caregivers.
Same day sick visits are always available. We can diagnose and treat routine illnesses, screen for dehydration, treat asthma, repair small lacerations, and more. We've got your urgent care needs covered with these 15-minute reserved visits.
We are proud to support breast feeding and offer lactation services in our office. We offer routine lactation support at all visits. Dr. Sarah Lacey is also a certified lactation consultant. 30-minute lactation specialty visits can be scheduled at your convenience.
We are pleased to offer a Courtney Alberts, Licensed Professional Counselor as part of our services. Temper tantrums, sibling rivalry, chronic illness, and post-partum depression can all have an improved outlook after a mental health assessment. Care can be provided after a well child visit, or as a stand-alone visit for follow up.
Our providers will visit you and your newborn at Rose Medical Center shortly after birth. We'll see you daily until baby and mom are discharged, and make sure everything gets off to a smooth start. We'll see you back in the office 1-2 days afterward. Choosing another hospital? Don't worry. Call us before your discharge for a 1-2 day
office appointment.
