Our Story

A practice built around lasting pediatric relationships

From a solo practice to a connected care team, Sapphire has grown alongside Denver families while protecting the warmth of independent care.

Rooted in Denver since 2005

Sapphire Pediatrics began in 2005 as a solo practice founded by Robin Larabee, MD. The practice first shared space with another pediatric office, then opened its own suite on the Rose Medical Center campus in 2008 with four staff members.

As the team and the needs of Denver families grew, Sapphire moved into a custom-renovated Suite 300 in 2016. Dr. Larabee retired in May 2024, and the practice continues under physician ownership with the same focus on personal relationships, preventive care, and a supportive environment for children and families.

Growing without losing connection

Sapphire has added physicians, pediatric sports medicine, early-childhood support, lactation guidance, and care coordination while preserving the small-practice experience families value. The goal is not to make every visit feel the same. It is to give each family a familiar place to begin, a team that can see the larger picture, and a clear plan for what comes next.
