Care built around your child

Care built around the whole child

When your child wakes up sick or gets hurt, it can be difficult to decide what kind of care is needed. Sapphire evaluates many common pediatric illnesses and selected minor injuries in the office, with same-day visits offered as scheduling and clinical capacity allow.

Common reasons to schedule on MyChart or call include fever, cough, sore throat, ear pain, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, possible dehydration, urinary symptoms, pink eye, worsening cold symptoms, mild asthma symptoms, and minor injuries. The team will ask questions to determine the most appropriate timing and setting for care.

How this care can help

Start with the concern. We will help organize what comes next.

Share the pattern

Age, symptoms, temperature, breathing, hydration, pain, and timing help guide the next step.

Keep care connected

History, allergies, medications, and previous concerns remain visible to the pediatric team.

Know when to escalate

Serious or rapidly worsening symptoms may need urgent or emergency evaluation.

A clear next step

A clear plan for what comes next

Call 911 for severe breathing difficulty, blue or gray lips, unresponsiveness, serious injury, uncontrolled bleeding, or another life-threatening emergency. A baby younger than 3 months with a rectal temperature of 100.4°F or higher needs prompt medical evaluation.

Helpful before your visit

Questions families often ask.

Schedule on MyChart, or call our office if you’re unsure which appointment best fits your child’s needs.

Are same-day visits guaranteed?

No. Appointment availability and the safest care setting depend on the day’s schedule and your child’s symptoms. Schedule on MyChart or call as early as possible.

Should I send a photo by email?

No. Use MyChart for patient-related messages or images only when directed. Administrative email is not a clinical or urgent channel.

Can routine requests be handled after hours?

The on-call service is for urgent clinical concerns. Refills and forms should be handled during office hours. Routine appointment requests can be scheduled on MyChart or handled by phone during office hours.
