Care & Services / Adolescent & Teen Care
Adolescence brings physical, emotional, social, and practical changes. We help teens and families navigate them with respect, prevention, and age-appropriate independence.
Care built around your child
Teen health is more than a sports form or physical examination. A comprehensive visit can address growth, puberty, nutrition, sleep, school, relationships, stress, mood, substance use, sexual health, safety, and preparation for managing health more independently.
Part of the visit may include private time between the teen and clinician. This is a routine part of adolescent care. The clinician explains the limits of confidentiality, including situations involving safety or requirements of law, and continues to support healthy family communication.
How this care can help
Growth, puberty, nutrition, sleep, activity, and age-appropriate screening.
School, relationships, stress, mood, coping, and a safe place to raise concerns.
Immunizations, driving, online safety, substance use, and risk reduction.
Practice understanding medications, history, appointments, and when to ask for help.
A clear next step
Private time helps adolescents participate in their own health care and improves the chance that important concerns are discussed. Parents and caregivers remain essential partners. Privacy has legal and safety limits, which the clinician will explain.
