General educational information
Information on this website is provided for general educational and administrative purposes. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a diagnosis, examination, treatment plan, or recommendation from a qualified health professional who knows the patient’s history and current condition.
Children with the same symptom may need different care based on age, medical history, medications, duration, severity, and other factors. Do not start, stop, or change a medicine, treatment, feeding plan, activity restriction, vaccine decision, or emergency plan solely because of website content.
Emergencies and urgent concerns
Call 911 for a life-threatening emergency. Examples may include severe breathing difficulty, blue or gray lips, unresponsiveness, uncontrolled bleeding, a serious injury, a prolonged seizure, or a child who cannot be kept safe.
A baby younger than 3 months with a rectal temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher needs prompt medical evaluation. This example is not a complete emergency list.
Do not use a website field, administrative email, symptom checker, or ordinary MyChart message for an emergency. Call Sapphire at 720-941-1778 for time-sensitive guidance and follow current after-hours instructions when the office is closed.
No clinician-patient relationship
Viewing the website, downloading a form, sending a general inquiry, or using an external link does not create a clinician-patient relationship, establish patient acceptance, or guarantee a response, appointment, diagnosis, treatment, referral, prescription, form, or result. A clinician-patient relationship is established only through the practice’s accepted clinical and registration process.
External resources
Links to MyChart, Children’s Hospital Colorado, the American Academy of Pediatrics, HealthyChildren.org, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, government sites, forms, and other resources are provided for convenience and education. Sapphire does not control all external content and cannot guarantee that it is complete, current, accessible, secure, or appropriate for a particular child.
Medication and dose information
This website does not publish independent medication dose tables. Dosing depends on the medicine, formulation, child’s weight and age, allergies, medical conditions, other medicines, and clinical reason. Ask a qualified clinician or pharmacist for patient-specific instructions.
Content review
Medical knowledge and guidance change. Pages may be reviewed and updated, but no review date guarantees that every statement reflects the newest evidence or applies to an individual patient. Discuss questions with your child’s care team.
