Care built around your child

Care built around the whole child

Changes in mood, behavior, sleep, school, eating, relationships, or family functioning can be signs that a child or teen needs support. Families do not have to know the diagnosis before asking for help.

A visit may include listening, age-appropriate screening, an initial assessment, brief guidance, follow-up, and coordination with behavioral-health professionals or community services when appropriate. Available services depend on current staffing and the child’s needs.

How this care can help

Start with the concern. We will help organize what comes next.

Name the change

Mood, behavior, sleep, school, eating, relationships, and family stress all belong in the conversation.

Screen thoughtfully

Screening can identify concerns that deserve a fuller assessment; it is not a diagnosis.

Choose the right level

The next step may be primary care, behavioral health, school support, or specialty care.

Protect safety

Urgent or life-threatening concerns need crisis or emergency support, not a routine message.

A clear next step

A clear plan for what comes next

If a child or teen may hurt themselves or someone else, cannot be kept safe, has taken an overdose, or is experiencing another life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Do not use email or ordinary MyChart messaging for an emergency.
